Village Health and Wellness Clubs has opened a new club in Reading, Berkshire. This is its 34th location in the UK and shows the brand’s strong expansion plans since being acquired by the global investment firm Blackstone in July 2024.

The new Reading complex, which started opening its facilities on December 1, includes a Health and Wellness Club and a Starbucks. The Pub and Grill and hotel rooms will open soon. This follows the brand’s model of offering complete leisure and stay experiences in one place.

A Premium Wellness Experience
The facility offers modern fitness and wellness services designed for a wide range of members.

The gym is equipped with Technogym fitness machines, including high quality strength and cardio equipment that lets users track their progress in real time.

Four dedicated studios host more than 100 group fitness classes each week, featuring boxing, indoor cycling, and Reformer Pilates.

For recovery, members have access to a heated indoor swimming pool, a sauna, a steam room, and a whirlpool spa.

A Personalized Fitness Program
A key offering is the Village Advance programme, a 12 week personalized plan. It combines custom workouts, nutrition guidance, and regular check ins to help members reach goals like weight loss or muscle building. The experience is supported by the Village Gym App, which allows members to book classes and follow their personal plans.
