The Baba Nahar Singh Temple in Bilaspur is a well-known Hindu temple located in the Bilaspur district of Himachal Pradesh. Set in Dholra, near the beautiful Gobind Sagar Lake, the temple is a lovely place to visit. It is dedicated to Baba Nahar Singh, who is also called Bajia, Peepal Wala, and Dalian Wala, and is believed to be a form of God. According to local legend, when Raja Deep Chand of Bilaspur married a princess from Kullu, the idol of Baba Nahar Singh traveled with her. Unfortunately, the queen became ill, and it was thought that this happened because the idol was not placed in the state with the right rituals. To fix this, Raja Deep Chand built the temple in Dholra and placed Baba Nahar Singh’s wooden slippers, known as ‘Kharaun,’ as a symbol of His presence.
