Tribal Pet Foods, a well known British pet food maker, has now created a food for cats. The company announced its first cat food range on 2 December 2025. Until now, Tribal was famous for its high quality dog food.

The new product is a line of grain free cat sausages. These sausages are made with gently steamed fresh meat. The company’s founder, Fatima Maktari, said cat owners have been requesting this for years. She explained they took great care to make a food that is right for a cat’s biology while keeping their ingredients fresh.

Each sausage recipe contains over 70 percent fresh meat or fish. This supports a cat’s natural diet as a carnivore. There are three flavours: Fresh Chicken, Fresh Chicken and Trout, and Fresh Pollock and Cod. The gentle cooking method keeps the food nutritious and tasty. The recipes also add natural ingredients to help keep cat joints healthy.

Tribal believes this food is a great new option for cat owners. It offers the quality of fresh food with the convenience of a prepared product. The food will be sold only in specialist pet shops across the United Kingdom. The company plans to sell it in other countries later.
